What is NeuroKinetics (formerly NeuroSkeletal Dynamics NSD)?
Instead of forcing joints into a new position, nerve receptors around the skeleton are activated using a light finger touch, causing the body to realign itself through muscle contraction.
This muscle contraction re-positions the bones and joints as required, to achieve optimum skeletal alignment. The process is extremely relaxing and pain free. As these receptors can be activated through clothing, you remain clothed and only shoes need to be removed while laying face down on the table.
What can be treated using NeuroKinetics (NK)
NK can be used to treat people of all ages and can be effective in the treatment of:
- Back and neck pain
- Disc herniation
- Scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis
- Migraine and headaches
- Hip and knee pain
- Shoulder issues including frozen shoulder
- Sporting injuries
- Pre & post Natal
The Treatment and cost
A NeuroKinetics session will treat your entire skeletal structure and will take approximately 45 minutes, with the initial consultation lasting for around 60 minutes.
Progress is usually noted after one or two treatments, however, individual recovery rates and the length of time the condition has existed will determine the number of treatments required.
The aim of NeuroKinetics is to restore optimum balance, remove pain and improve flexibility and mobility.
Please bring any x-rays, scans or MRI's you have to your appointment.
We accept cash and EFT.
As a private clinic, these treatments do not attract Medicare or Health Fund rebates, however we always endeavour to keep our fees reasonable.
45 minutes (Standard) - $90
60 minutes (Initial Consult) - $120
Although progress is usually noted after one or two treatments, I recommend a minimum of three treatments, however, individual recovery rates and the length of time the condition has existed will determine the number of treatments required.
Even if NeuroKinetics is unable to help you, because it is non-invasive and non-manipulative, it cannot make your condition worse nor do any harm.
Skeletal alignment can continue for up to 48 hours after treatment, as the body seeks to realign itself to its optimum position. Some muscle adjustment may be felt as this occurs.
As a result of this muscle activity, soreness and some stiffness may be felt over the next day or two. To minimise this effect, a 3 to 4 minute comfortably hot shower or a 20 minute bath before bed is recommended.
In addition, you may note that your shoes feel strange. To ensure old walking habits do not continue to pull the skeleton out of alignment, shoes should be resoled and heeled.
